Mississippi Engaged is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization that works in collaboration with a coalition with other non-partisan organizations to increasing the capacity partners to advance a pro-democracy power building movement grounded in equity, social justice through civic participation.
We believe democracy works best when every voice is heard. Civic engagement is the cornerstone of healthy democracy – it’s about being an active participant in our communities, working to address concerns, and understanding the basics of how government works.
A Mississippi where all eligible voters successfully cast a ballot in every election; where people from all walks of life can have their voices heard in policy matters; and where every person, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, geography, age, sexual orientation, ability, or income, influences the decisions that shape and guide their own lives.
