about us

Our Mission

MS Engaged is a 501 (c) (3) table that coordinates and provides resources for civic engagement efforts of nonprofit and community-based organizations to build transformative community power statewide.

History of Mississippi Engaged

Mississippi Engaged was birth out of the Civic Engagement Roundtable Coalition (CER). The Civic Engagement Roundtable Coalition was established in 2008 and has since been coordinated by One Voice and the Mississippi State Conference NAACP.

After a decade of the coalition’s existence, many roundtable members and steering committee members decided it was best to continue growing infrastructure and transition the roundtable to become a 501c3 charitable organization.

After numerous conversations and visioning sessions, roundtable members chose to name this new entity Mississippi Engaged, serving as the first formalized C3 Table in the state of Mississippi focused primarily on civic engagement.

Provide capacity building support ranging from grants to data and digital organizing support.

Help support table partners to carry out their power building, voter engagement, and election protection efforts by providing planning support and financial support to carry out their coordinated work.
